About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Automatic Door Engineer to be stationed full-time at a major retail centre in London. In this key site-based position, you will be responsible for maintaining the safe and effective operation of all automatic doors on site.
What You’ll Do
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing of automatic door systems throughout the retail centre.
- Proactively monitor door systems for early signs of wear, irregular performance, or potential faults, and take initiative to carry out adjustments or preventative repairs before issues escalate or cause disruption.
- Diagnose and repair breakdowns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, including BS EN 16005.
- Accurately log maintenance and repair activities using both site and company job management software.
- Communicate clearly with both site staff and Entec’s internal teams via phone, email, and software platforms.
- Attend additional callouts at other locations after your scheduled shift, when required.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Shift options: 06:00 – 14:30 or 07:00 – 15:30
- Includes a 1-hour lunch break
Requirements
- Proven experience in automatic door servicing and breakdown response
- Familiarity with multiple automatic door operator brands
- BS EN 16005 certification
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
